A vacancy exists within the Finance department of Curo Fund Services for a Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Manager, this person will be responsible for various aspects of the end to end accounting function as outlined below, and all other financial accounting processes as required.

Specific duties

Responsible for, but not limited to, following:

Billing

• Monthly fee billing


• Revenue analysis


• AR analysis/management

Cash

• Banking relationships as well as online banking functionality


• Daily/Weekly/Monthly cash flows


• EFT payments


• Investment flows

Budgeting

• Assisting FM with budgeting/forecasting

Accounting and Reporting

• Month end journals


• Monthly/Yearly reporting


• Balance Sheet Recons

Taxation

• Assisting FM with Company tax/VAT

Ad Hoc

• Perform ad hoc tasks as requested by finance management.

• Exposure to forex payments

Education

• Minimum: Tertiary qualification in a Finance related field.


• Beneficial: BCom honours in Accounting Sciences.


• Beneficial: SAIPA / SAICA articles completed.
