Curo staff have 24/7 access to the Financial Markets training series offered by Plumbline allowing progress through course content at their own pace. Assessments and accreditation are available to add to the individual’s personal development portfolio.

Full Value Financial Services is a financial training and consulting company registered with the South African BankSETA. As our training partner, they offer customised workshops and internationally accredited courses in the financial and banking industry.

What motivates you to continue working with us?
Never was there a single day I became sad because someone said something or did something I did not like. And I always learn new things every day. Curo wants us to grow in every possible way, they even offer us opportunities to improve our qualifications.
I can now communicate effectively. I have gained a new skill set and qualifications by attending professional training courses. I can solve more complex situations.
What motivates you to continue working with us?
I have noticed that there is growth in the company plus I work in an extremely healthy environment as I am surrounded by people who are always willing to assist.
I have developed improvements on important skills one needs to demonstrate in their professional journey, including but not limited to, self-awareness, communication, teamwork, adaptability to change and hope that everything in the end will work out one way or another, problem-solving skills, decision-making, increased responsibility, without forgetting the door that is always opened for additional training for when there is a change or a new different part of my role.
What motivates you to continue working with us?
I value the flexibility offered by hybrid working arrangements and a positive work culture is essential to me, as I thrive on the need to overcome challenges and find innovative solutions. Feedback and opportunities for development are important aspects of my professional growth. Furthermore, recognition and appreciation for my contributions are highly motivating to me.

What advice would you give to a new intern starting at our company?
Be open-minded and ready to learn, ask questions, be proactive and seek out opportunities to grow and learn.
During my time at Curo, I've learned that the company culture is deeply rooted in collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. To a new intern starting at Curo, my advice would be to take the initiative and actively seek out opportunities to learn and contribute. Don't be afraid to ask questions and reach out to colleagues for guidance, everyone here is supportive and willing to help. Embrace challenges as learning experiences and be open to feedback, as it will help you grow both personally and professionally. Lastly, get involved in company activities and events to build relationships and better understand the company culture.
I've learned to adapt more easily to high-pressure situations as well and I've found my space in my team, in terms of feeling supported.
What advice would you give to a new intern starting at our company?
To be kind to themselves and trust the process, it's okay not to know everything but to take every opportunity to learn.
Curo Bursary Scheme
At Curo, we believe in the transformative power of education, not just for our country, but for our industry and, indeed, the individual.
